I’m going against the grain again here and banking on Eilish’s wit, charm, and meteoric rise netting her another huge win. It’d make history, it’d be fun to see, and it’d also return a nice profit.

Billie Eilish isn’t nominated for Song of the Year, which is a little odd considering how much success she’s enjoyed in the past year. That being said, the iconic Billy Ray Cyrus puts his achy, breaky heart on the line with Lil Nas X, and they look like the big favorites here.

Vegas clearly sees “Old Town Road” as the favorite here, and I’m not about to go against it. There is still some serious sleeper appeal right down the list, however, as Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift are certainly in the mix with nice prices, and it’s tough to ignore big players like Drake and the Jonas Brothers.
My favorite sleeper is easily “Shallow,” of course. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper dominated with this song during their movie award show tour, so they have to be considered here.
In the end, I won’t fight the favorite on this one.

Can Billie Eilish take home some major upsets and win Best New Artist? I don’t see why not. This would be a big protection wager for me, though, as I’m certainly taking on some risk by betting on Eilish elsewhere.
Eilish makes total sense as the favorite for Best New Artist, as she’s had a ton of success from her albums and has not cooled down yet in 2019. Just be sure to consider all options and note the most recent Best New Artist odds before you place a wager.
There is precedence for newcomers to burst onto the scene and secure big wins like I’ve alluded to, but Eilish winning Best New Artist doesn’t feel like a reach at all.
With instant hits like “Bad Guy,” “Bury a Friend,” and “When the Party’s Over,” Eilish is probably here to stay. It’s likely she’ll be rewarded for her powerful arrival, too.

VMAs Best Collaboration Prediction
Feel free to go in a different direction or hedge your bets a bit when it comes to the Billie Eilish predictions. Sometimes an artist is in for a record-setting year, and she could make it happen.
Regardless, she won’t be in on the VMAs Best Collaboration, an award which seems to be geared toward BTS, who put together “Boy With Luv” with Halsey.
This looks to be the favorite for this category, but be sure to check out the Best Collaboration odds before placing a bet.
Obviously, the price for the Cooper/Gaga duo is obscene, while anytime you can get the likes of Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift at a discount, bettors need to pay attention.
If there is an upset here, I’d be more geared towards “Old Town Road,” which has ascended to the very top of the Top 100 charts. That could easily be a big winner in multiple categories, but this is probably the one I’d be gunning it for.

There is some serious competition here, of course. The 21 Savage song “A Lot” with J. Cole is pretty powerful, while DJ Khaled, 2 Chainz, Cardi B, and Travis Scott are all worthy foes.

This is a spot where there could be quality value, and if I’m going against the grain, I like “A Lot,” well, a lot. That being said, “Old Town Road” has been a massive hit, and it’s going to win at the VMAs. You may need to decide just how much.

Who Will Win Best Rock at the VMAs?
The MTV Video Music Awards are dominated by pop, hip hop, and rap, but there’s still a soft spot for quality rock music. Imagine Dragons open as the slight favorite to take home the Best Rock song honors.
It’s hard to go against “Natural,” which carries the same edgy themes as past Imagine Dragons classics but also feels really fresh.

Panic! At the Disco is a very worthy second option, as “High Hopes” is pretty upbeat and very catchy. This is another band that has stuck to its roots but keeps finding a way to sprinkle in something new.
I’m not high on Lenny Kravitz here, while Fall Out Boy feels a bit too tired as well. In fact, there just isn’t much sleeper appeal here at all. Imagine Dragons feel like the right play and offer nice value by themselves, while Panic! At the Disco is a viable contender and the only other bet I like in this group.

The romance between Cooper and Gaga has long been rumored, stemming from their time together on the hit movie A Star Is Born. The two have undeniable chemistry, and it’s possible there was something more than meets the eye at one time, but that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.
The Cooper & Gaga romance has been debunked many times over, but there is still a wager out there adding fuel to the fire. The odds in favor of the two showing up together are pretty tempting.
The price is nice, and it’s always possible that these two troll the media and show up together. They did shoot a movie and perform together and are friends, so anything can happen.
It’s even possible they’re an item and we just don’t know it yet. What’s likely, of course, is they show up separately, either by themselves or with a different date. Either way, this isn’t really a wager worth your time unless you feel like aiming high and taking on some risk.

My guess is she simply tries to keep her private life hidden for a while longer. Hopefully, that drums up more interest in the secrecy of her love life and also plays into a decent bet on the “no” side.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are two rising stars and will both be on hand at the 2019 Video Music Awards. They also collaborated on the racy “Senorita,” which has sparked rumors of a hidden romance.
Whether the two are an official item (I mean, they totally are), there is growing speculation that they have some type of a relationship and that it could become a bit more public at the VMAs.
Here are the odds for how many times we’ll see the two lovebirds kiss.
The fact that this pair has been pretty cryptic about their relationship suggests they’ll continue to play with the public’s hearts. Perhaps one kiss for show could add a jolt to the VMAs, but expecting these two to make out during a very public award show feels like a reach.
The over/under demands at least two kisses to get a winning bet, and I’m not willing to go there. I wouldn’t be shocked to see one kiss, but the under is more realistic and offers more value.

Grande grew even more popular — which I didn’t think was possible — following a performance where she cried on stage. The video went viral, as Grande couldn’t hold it in when performing following the death of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller.
Publicly emotional, Grande is at risk of crying on stage again with the spotlight on her at the VMAs. Just how likely are the tears to flow, though?
Vegas loves the idea of this happening again, but bettors need to consider two things; this crying episode was an isolated incident and/or she doesn’t perform a song that gets the tears going.
I think you could go either way here, but Grande is clearly an emotional person. It’s a decent bet that she sings something close to her heart that will move her and the audience. Considering it’s happened in the past, betting on Ariana Grande crying (as crass as that seems) may be worth a dice roll.

It's that time again, and this is a show that reminds me how old I really am! Monday, Aug. 26 is the 36th Annual MTV Video Music Awards at the Prudential Center in Newark. This will be the first VMA ceremony held in New Jersey, with Sebastian Maniscalco hosting the event.
Betting action will be running wild for the 2019 VMA's, and MyBookie sportsbook was the first global sportsbook to put betting odds on this music event. From what I have seen so far, there is money to be made Monday night at Prudential Center, and I see one or two plus-money winners on some of these VMA betting propositions. Awards shows like this are such a great betting option because a sharp handicapper can easily score a big profit, especially at the VMA's and even the Grammy Awards.
This is my first time tackling the Video Music Awards -- but not my first time posting odds over at MyBookie -- and we are hoping for the same success as other entertainment award shows.
